Dal Sogno, meaning "From the Dream," is an all-women chamber ensemble of seasoned classical musicians. Formed in 2023, we are passionate about championing the works of persecuted, marginalized, and overlooked composers, with a special emphasis on women’s music.

The group’s rich instrumentation features violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, and soprano. We are honored to have Stefania de Kenessey as our composer-in-residence, and proudly serve as the inaugural Ensemble-in-Residence for both the New York Women Composers. The residency is a new venture for each organization and was created specifically for Dal Sogno, in honor of the ensemble’s commitment to presenting music that is under-represented in today’s cultural and musical landscape.

Our spirited performances fill in the gaps of standard historical narratives, and shine a light on newly discovered and diverse musical voices. Dal Sogno invites you to experience the joy and richness of music that has been waiting to be heard. Join us as we continue to bring dreams to life.
